Smarter burst culling

  • New burst grouping workflow automatically clusters similar consecutive frames.
  • Added per-group tools like Keep Best and Reject All.
  • Burst interactions are now faster and more responsive with better task cancellation and debouncing.

Better sharpness and focus scoring

  • Sharpness scoring now uses improved logic for aperture and ISO conditions.
  • Better handling of AF/saliency signals for more reliable “best frame” decisions.
  • Additional scoring refinements improve consistency in real-world shoots.

Similarity features improved

  • Added image similarity scoring based on Vision feature prints.
  • Similarity ranking now runs asynchronously for a smoother UI experience.

Faster, smoother thumbnail browsing

  • Grid thumbnails now open in a dedicated window.
  • Added a dedicated in-memory grid thumbnail cache for faster loading.
  • Grid cache usage is now visible in Settings.

Cleaner culling UI

  • Multi-selection and bulk rating workflows improved.
  • Selection state handling is more consistent and robust.
  • Badge/indicator UX was simplified and clarified during this cycle.

Stability and memory improvements

  • Significant memory handling improvements in image decode paths.
  • Better handling for Sony ARW extraction edge cases.
  • Improved cancellation behavior for long-running background tasks.

Settings and persistence upgrades

  • More scoring/focus settings are now persisted and restored at launch.
  • Startup settings load behavior is more reliable.
